Head in the clouds
My head has always been in the clouds. These paintings come from memories of living in Arizona, parched, and watching thunderheads form just far enough away that it never seemed to rain.
So I moved to cool, wet places, and now I dream of those warm days, and billowing clouds teeming with rain, bursting against a wild sunset. My paintings reflect inner ruminations, my life’s journey, and the decisions that make me who I am.

Desert Nebula - This was created for the 2nd annual Postcard show at Brassworks Gallery in Portland, Oregon.

Cactus Arm - A study on the saguaro and its shadows. Look closely, you can see a busy bee flying above the fragrant saguaro blossoms on this sunny day. I love how the saguaro arms turn and twist.
